The Experts Say . . .
“Attention,
learning and problem solving depend in part on the ability to plan and
sequence actions and ideas. The Interactive Metronome® helps individuals
systematically exercise and often improve basic motor planning and sequencing
capacities.”
Stanley Greenspan, MD., Chairman,
IM
Scientific Advisory Board.
“The
Interactive Metronome® is spectacularly helpful. It is one of the most
promising developments with non-medication of ADHD that's come along in
a long while... This is really solid, extremely helpful non-medication
(intervention) not only for ADHD but for mental functioning in general..”
Edward Hallowell, MD
“As
for the clinical usefulness of the IM, as my intuition originally suggested,
I have found the IM to be an extremely helpful intervention for motor
planning and sequencing problems. It is helpful in the motor and sequencing
aspects
of language as well as attention and motor coordination..”
LorRainne Jones, MA, CCC, SLP,
PhD
“In our clinical experience, IM training appears to address spatial problems
at the neural level – preparing the brain to be receptive to learn – and
because of the repetitions it becomes automatic.”
Barbara Fisher, PhD
Food
Allergies -" The data support the hypothesis that in a subgroup of children
with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder certain
foods may not only influence clinical symptoms but may also alter brain electrical
activity."

The NeuroEdge Program is based on some of the latest research involving ADD/ADHD and other learning and behavioral disorders. It utilizes neurology, clinical nutrition, and therapeutic techniques to create a well rounded program that addresses the major theories of these disorders.
It is a three-fold approach:
First, remove the irritants: research shows food allergies, metal toxicity, and gastrointestinal dysfunctions are contributing factors with ADD/ADHD and other developmental disorders. The program tests for and uses the latest clinical approaches in removing and healing the areas that are affected.
Second, heal the gut and supply the nutrition needed for healing and rebuilding: The body needs vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, fats, antioxidants, and other nutrients to provide proper function for healing, rebuilding, communication, dendritic synaptogenesis (brain activation) and removal of all the toxins and waste products of the body. Research shows that children with learning and behavioral disorders are deficient in many nutrients.
Third, increase activation to the under-activated areas of the brain resulting in increased overall function: It involves the use of brain exercises to strengthen the specific under-functioning areas
The program applies Neurological applications to increase the activity of
the areas of the brain that have been shown to have decreased function. Increased
activation results in more neuronal connections, increased blood flow and
neurological function making the areas more efficient, therefore strengthening
the under-functioning areas of the brain.
